Year-End Accounts

supporting workings and iXBRL tagging completed before your Companies House deadline.
THE DIGITAL MANDATE

Year-End Accounts
Prepared the Way
Your Reviewers Expect

Accounts production is where practice capacity can get stretched. Each set needs reconciled figures, appropriate disclosures, iXBRL tagging and filing within the statutory deadline, normally nine months after the year end for private companies. The FRS 102 Periodic Review 2024 has also introduced significant changes to lease and revenue accounting for periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026.

Unison Globus prepares year-end accounts for UK practices, including ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA, CIOT/ATT and AAT firms, in your software, to your house style, with working papers your partners can review rather than rebuild.

Accounts drafted from your trial balance with lead schedules and supporting workings

FRS 102, Section 1A and FRS 105 requirements applied according to the applicable reporting framework

iXBRL-tagged accounts prepared for electronic filing requirements

Queries raised in one consolidated list instead of a drip-feed of emails

    What Has Changed
    for 2026 Year-Ends

    01

    FRS 102 Periodic Review

New Section 20 Leases and Section 23 Revenue requirements apply for periods beginning on or after 1 January 2026, with early adoption permitted.

    02

    Leases on Balance Sheet

The distinction between operating and finance leases is removed for lessees, so most leases are recognised as right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, subject to certain exemptions.

    03

    New Size Thresholds

For periods beginning on or after 6 April 2025, a company is small if it meets at least two of these conditions: turnover up to £15m, balance sheet total up to £7.5m, and no more than 50 employees on average.

    04

    Filing Deadline

Private company accounts are normally due at Companies House nine months after the accounting reference date.
